From Arkaroola we will head through to Farina and hopefully across a track that will take us to Lake Torrens and Andamooka.

Down to Woomera on the black top before we turn north past lake Gairdner as we head for fuel at Glendambo. We pass through Kingoonya and Tarcoola as we head to the Northern end of Goog's track.

Ceduna through to Lake Gilles for our last salt lake of the trip. From here we are on our way home through some very pretty S.A country side as we head through to Morgan, Mildura and home to Melbourne.

Bush Camping, Arkaroola has accommodation available should you want to book a room. Showers available along the way for Gold Coin or Cash.

TLCC National Gathering - WA 2022

Fri 14 - Tue 18 Oct, 2022

Following the success of the Gathering in South Australia in 2019, and the interest in the Toyota 70th Birthday Muster in Broken Hill last year, we are offering pre-registration for the TLCC Gathering, to be held in the Margaret River area, in Western Australia .

This registration is not binding, but will assist TLCCWA with their forward planning.

Once you are registered with the TLCCV, we will keep you up to date with the progress of the Gathering, and any side trips that may be proposed.

We are hoping that our Club will be running extended trips to W.A. to coincide with the Gathering - maybe the Kimberley and West Coast and home across the Nullarbor.

(Weekend Trip)

Fri 7 - Sun 9 Oct, 2022

Brian RietaMedancic

Trip Leaders - Brian & Rieta Medancic

On this trip, we base camp at Yarck on Friday night and start early Saturday morning.

It is an exploratory trip, so we will try and locate the Old Hippie settlement, visit the falls, Hells Hole, and Wild Dog Rocks and enjoy spectacular views from the mountain tops.

Conditions may be challenging with wet weather, muddy tracks and fallen trees, so be prepared for some work. Some walking may be involved to reach the sites. So while full recovery gear is required, a working winch is also preferred.

After the day, we will head back to Yarck for food, drinks and some laughs next to the fire. If time permits and everyone is keen, we can do a night drive around Yarck. The trip will conclude on Sunday morning.

Travel up to Birdsville at your own Leisure, there is much to see along the way to add to your Desert Holiday Adventure.

Departing from Birdsville Bakery @ 9 am sharp. We head west out over Big Red and Head along the QAA line to Poeppels Corner Post. From the post we turn South down the K1 Line before Turning West again on the Rig Road. We will see the Southern side of the park that is different to the popular French Line, it’s also a little less travelled and remote.

The rig road was originally clay topped so that the Oil Search Trucks could traverse the area but much of this has now deteriorated away. You will see the Lone Gum, Desert Sunsets and Rises, Swim in the warm Dalhousie Springs Water and experience the stunning night time skies.

Travel up to Oodnadatta at your own Leisure, there is much to see and do on the track and should be explored if you have never traversed it before.

Our trip departs Oodnadatta at 9 Am Sharp, I suggest every one arrives the day prior and attends to Fuel / Food requirements as required. We head North up to Mt Dare where we neck the Fuel tanks again for our journey across the Desert. From Mt Dare we head to Old Andado Station on the very Edge of the Simpson Desert.

From here it’s extremely isolated travelling as we venture across the desert following Cecil Madigan’s Camp sites. You will see Molly Clark's homestead, visit the Twins and experience the desert and its majestic scenery. The sun sets and rises are magnificent, I have permission to use the tracks on Adria Downs Station on this trip so from the Hay River Track we’ll see camp 17 onwards.
