Weekend at Granny's Flat
(Extended Weekend Trip)

We will be base camping at Granny's Flat Campground.
Facilities include a drop toilet and a river. So you will need to bring enough food and water supplies for the weekend.
We will be exploring some of the local tracks and visitng the Champion mine site.
Sunday will be a bit more exploration and lunch at the local brewery.

Skene in the Springtime!

Come and explore the beautiful areas around Jamieson and Mount Skene over the Cup Weekend. This trip will cover three days from the Saturday to the Monday.
We'll base camp in a camping area near Jamieson and explore the areas like Mt Terrible, Mt Skene plus others and all the way to Woods Point.
We'll also have a dinner at the Jamieson brewery as well as lunch or a beer at the Woods Point Hotel (hopefully).
It'll be like the Mt Skene snow trip but in the springtime!

Saturday will be a long day aiming to reach Mt Murray and returning to Allan's Flat for Happy Hour.
Sunday Mt Stanley and lunch at the Stanley Hotel, and afternoon Woolshed Falls and Mt Pilot.
Monday Mount Baranduda.
Tuesday pack up and head home.

Gulf country - East Arnhem Land

Trip - Outback touring - Medium
From Mt Isa travel to the southern and western Queensland/ NT gulf country, visiting Riversleigh fossil sites, Adels Grove, Lawn Hill NP, along the Savannah Way to Caranbirini Conservation Reserve, Lorella Springs, Seven Emus Station, Limmen NP, then on to Katherine.
From Katherine, we will travel via the East Arnhem Road to the Gove Peninsula, Nhulunbuy and surrounds and return to Katherine, where the trip concludes .
Permits will need to be purchased and camping site reservations completed online beforehand.
Children welcome. No animals as they restrict entry to national parks.

Travel the furthest you can by car from Melbourne to experience some of the finest dust and corrugations the Kimberley region can offer.
Starting out in Alice Springs this is a fast paced trip packing in as much as possible into 4 weeks.
Highlights include the Bungles, Kununurra (and surrounds), El Questro Station, Mitchell Falls, Mt Elizabeth Station (Munja Tk), Mornington Station (Dimond Gorge) and Windjana Gorge to name but a few.
For some variety there will also be some rough off road sections such as the Karunjie Tk, Walsh Point Tk and Munja Tk.

King Valley - Easy like a Sunday Morning

Take the chains off from the busy week and settle down in Gentle Annie’s caravan park followed by a pub dinner at the Mountain View Hotel in Whitfield.
Easy start Saturday morning we head off to Lake William Hovel where we will stop for morning tea and start our 4wd journey. The track starts off on the upper King Valley Rd. From there we will be turning left onto the Sandy Flat Track. This track will cross the King River. We follow the Sandy Track until we come to the Long Spur Track. The Long Spur Track will lead us back to the upper King Valley Road through another river crossing and then back to the campsite.
Sunday will be another easy day with some sightseeing at Powers Lookout and Paradise Falls. This will be followed by a relaxing lunch at Gracebrook winery. Sunday afternoon will be relaxed by a campfire and good company.
Monday morning pack up camp and head past Millawa to experience some local produce before heading home.
This trip will require you to bring your accommodation. You can bring along your Camper trailer, caravan, tent etc.

Walhalla Weekend Adventure

Our Walhalla Adventure will be travelling around some awesome tracks and exploring the area and some of the views are spectacular. There will be river crossings and see the Thomson Dam wall from a different angle but you may need to look closely. We may even get to see a mine if we are lucky.
We will be camping Saturday night at O'tooles Camp ground and making our way back into Walhalla for some history finding about this Historic mining town.
Tracks to include Donnelly Creek Road, S Track, Morning Star Track, Army Track, Williamson Spur Track, Beardmore Track, One Speck Track.

Madigan Line Sand & Dust Tour - North Simpson Desert

A Fast Paced Adventure for those willing to travel at Highway Speed Limits on the Black Top, and appropriate safe speeds on the Outback dirt roads & tracks.
Visit places of interest daily, as we head North up through the Gammon Ranges and onto the Oodnadatta Track. Travel to Dalhousie Springs, Mt Dare Hotel, and across via the Madigan Line/QAA Line. We will visit Poepels Corner along the way as we head to Birdsville. From Birdsville we will visit Haddons Corner Post, on the way down to the Dig Tree on the Cooper Creek. We will Camp at Fort Grey before heading into Tibooburra. From Tibooburra its a fast run these days down to Broken Hill and Mildura.
You, your passengers, and your vehicle must be able to handle the dust and corrugations of the outback on an extended trip. Early Starts and Sunset Finish's will be required. Fees and Permits are required.

Our trip will start at Nowa Nowa on Friday where we will head towards the Alpine National Park & Benambra where we air down and start our 4x4 adventure heading to our 1st night's Camp at Native Dog Flat.
Saturday we will head across Davies Plains plateau & camp at Tom Groggin on the VIC /NSW border.
Sunday will see us leave Tom Groggin and loop back to camp alongside Limestone Creek.
Monday will see us pack up & head for home.

Enjoy sand driving the VIC / SA Border Track
(Easter Weeknd Trip)

Travel through the sandy Wyperfeld Nat Park via Lake Albacutya, circling the Big desert via Ross Springs.
We will then travel through the 'Disputed Country' before crossing into SA & heading the Border Track.
We will experience some interesting sand dunes & bog holes, before finishing in Nhill.
Note:
No trailers, no dogs, no cats, no firearms permitted on this trip.
Permit:
A day permit is required by each vehicle to travel down the one way section of the Border track

Easter at Dargo & Crooked River ending at Lake Glenmaggie

Arrive in Dargo Friday for a leisure day and Meet and Greet everyone. Have a visit to the Iconic Dargo Hotel later in the day.
Saturday & Sunday we will start 9.00am sharp after short debrief and will visit some of the great surroundings that Dargo has to Offer.
We will also be spending time crossing the Crooked River as we meander down the tracks that cross this well known river. Some great vistas and a visit to one of the towers that offers 360 degree views of the Dargo area.
Monday will be a leisure day to just meander our way home down to Lake Glen Maggie for lunch.

We will make our way through the High Country and visit some of the great huts and camp Saturday night at the great Craigs Hut to witness a fabulous sunset and an even greater sunrise.
On Sunday afternoon we will be visiting some more fabulous huts.
Tracks will be Brocks Road, Monument Track, Speculation Road,Circuit Road, No 3 Track, Black Landing Track, King Basin Road, Carters Road, Mount Stirling Road. (If time allows).

Camping at Dandos in the Otways

Geelong Branch is heading down to Dandos Campground in the Otways again.
Hoping to conduct Camp Host, come and join us for any part of the Long Weekend.
Bring a tent, swag, caravan or camper trailer, plenty of room for everyone.
It's a great weekend that is not focused on driving, in fact, just for a change, we'll be camping in the one spot all weekend, enjoying some camaraderie around the campfire.
Bring your camp oven for some camp cooking sessions on Saturday.
Greg will be running some damper cooking sessions.
Bring a roast to cook for dinner. (if you don't have a camp oven, just ask we have plenty amongst us to share)
Dandos offers Fire Pits, Picnic Tables, Drop Toilets, Running Creek at the back of the campground to cool off, Happy Hours around the campfire.

Tingaringy Trailer Trip

On Saturday, we will head north from Orbost we 4WD thru the Errinundra Plateau with our trailers in tow, then base camp on the Deddick River.
On Sunday, we will 4WD up to Mt Tingaringy, right on the VIC/NSW border. We will loop back down the Laurie Track & the Tingaringy Creek to camp.
On Monday, after reconnecting our trailers, we head down to McKillops Bridge, crossing the mightly Snowy River, as well as visiting the Little River Gorge before heading home.
No dogs, no cats, no firearms.
4WD Camper Trailers most welcome.

East Gippsland Explorer

Join me for a 4 day trip journeying through some of the most scenic areas of East Gippsland.
Day 1: The trip starts in Orbost with a journey along the Deddick Trail to the Deddick Valley.
Day 2: We base camp and drive to the summit of Mt Tingaringy for some panoramic views.
Day 3 & 4: We will visit McKillops Bridge before heading on to the Nunniong Plain and then down to Swifts Creek along some of the more interesting tracks in the area.
