The New Years Eve fireworks will be viewed from Waverton Lookout.
Bookings nee to be finalised by April 3 2017, as the park is filling fast.
Fees will be payable for the 6 day stop over at the National Park
& need to be paid in full when booking.
Trips have been planned during the stay at the National Park.

Aberfeldy Adventure

Explore the exciting 4WD tracks near the Aberfeldy River,
including a visit to O'Tooles Flat, plus take in the views as we descend
the famous 12 switchbacks on Trigg Track, just north of the old mining town of Walhalla.

(Weekend Trip)
18 - 19 November, 2017
Trip Rating - Medium - suit beginners
For those who can join us on Friday night, we will have a welcoming fire waiting.
We will be travelling thru the Rubicon State Forest & returning to camp early
to collect firewood for the evening fire.
On Sunday, we travel towards Melbourne thru the Tollangi Black Range Forest,
finishing at Yarra Glen.

Drive the only legal sand dunes in Victoria.
Test your skills on the many steep sand hills.
Be prepared for wet & windy conditions.Apart from a drop toilet,
there are no amenities at the camping area.

Snake Valley Ramble
(Weekend Trip)
16 - 17 September, 2017
Trip Rating - Easy to Medium (Weather dependant)
From the hotel we will travel to the property to set up camp & have morning tea.
Saturday will be spent exploring bush tracks nearby. Bring a torch to explore an old mine.
Watch the sunset from the fire tower before heading back to camp.
There will be a short trip on Sunday morning before finishing up around lunch time.

Lock Your Hubs Mt Skene Snow Trip
(Weekend Trip)

A large, exciting and family friendly weekend trip to Mt Skene
to experience some of the best snow driving in Victoria.
We will be based at Jamieson, from where we will travel up to Mt Skene
to drive in the snow, have some fun, and then return to the Jamieson Courthouse Hotel and socialise!
New members are encouraged to come along, and vehicles will be split into two groups with two trips

The Murrindindi Meander - Out of Yarck
(Weekend Trip)
5 -6 August, 2017
Trip Rating - Medium - Could be slippery if wet
On Saturday we will travel on Forest Roads / 4WD tracks in and around the
Murrindindi area visiting points of interest and returning to the Yarck Hilton for the evening.
On Sunday we will depart the Hilton for another day in the Murrindindi area
and return to Yarck in the afternoon with the choice of going home or staying over.

on forest roads to the Snobs Creek Falls.
We will return to Yarra Glen via the Toolangi State Forest on forest roads.

15 Mile Hut

This trip will be travelling on winding blacktop & forest roads to the 15 Mile Hut
taking in scenic views & returning to the Yarck Hilton on Saturday night.
Sunday leisurely breakfast then the trip finishes after the Hilton tidy up.

Canning Stock Route 2017
(Extended Outback Trip)

Trip Rating - Moderate but extremely remote
This 3 week trip will cover the 1850km Canning Stock Route
from Wiluna in the south to Billiluna in the north
including a visit to the Rudall River National Park in the middle.
Make it part of a longer trip and visit the Bungles and Lake Argyle afterwards.

Anglesea Day-Night

We will spend a couple of hours on the 4WD tracks in the Anglesea Hinterland
before returning to the Anglesea Hotel for dinner.
In the dark after dinner, we will do the same tracks in reverse
(the opposite way, not actually going backwards!).
Trip will conclude in Anglesea around 10pm

VIC/SA Border Track
(Easter Weekend Trip)

Travel through the sandy Wyperfeld Nat Park via Lake Albacutya,
circling the Big desert via Ross Springs.
We will then travel through the 'Disputed Country' before crossing
into SA & heading down the Vic/SA Border Track.
We will experience some interesting sand dunes & bog holes,
before finishing in Nhill.

Come & enjoy a weekend wil some great 4WDing & some MTBing for those fit members.
We will be base camping at Mirimbah (at the base of Mt Buller).
Some of you may wish to sit around the campfire on Sat morning
& listen to Laurie talk about the famus mapping software "OziExplorer".
We will be hitting the 4WD tracks as well, taking in the great climb up
to Mt Stirling after visiting Howqua Gap Hut. Heidi will be heading off
on her MTB to explore the amazing MTB trails around Mt Buller.
On Sunday, we will 4WD to Lake William Hovell & return via Pineapple Flat.

Tingaringy Trailer Trip
(Labour Day Weekend Trip)
11 - 13 Mar, 2017
Trip Rating - Medium (some interesting climbs on Tingaringy Tk) - weather dependant)
After leaving Orbost, we will head thru the Errinundra Plateau with our trailers in tow,
and base camp on the Deddick River.
On Sunday, we will 4WD up to Mt Tingaringy, right on the VIC/NSW border.
We will loop back down the Laurie Tk, crossing the Tingaringy Creek before returning to camp.
On Monday, after reconnecting our trailers, we head down to McKillops Bridge,
crossing the mighty Snowy River as well as visiting the Little river Gorge before heading home.

Avon River Adventure

We will head north, crossing the Avon River & Ben Cruachan Creek many times.
We then head east following the southern edge of the Avon Wilderness area & camp on the Avon River.
On Sunday we will retrace our steps to the Ben Cruachan Creek, then head up to Ben Cruachan
to take in the views. We continue to follow the Ben Cruachan Creek and then climb up to
McMillans Lookout to take in the views.
We will descend from McMillans & finish our trip near Cheynes Bridge, just north of Licola.
No trailers, dogs, no cats, no firearms permitted on this trip.
