Dinner at the Dargo Hotel on the Saturday evening.
The following day we will travel east along Haunted Steam which has 54 fords to traverse ending in Bruthen.

Licola to Merrijig via the High Cone

From Licola we will head for the Macalister River Valley and then the Blue Plains Spur Track to the High Cone.
On our way to Merrijig we will take Grimmes Track, Nobs Track and The Knobs Track before visiting Upper Jamison Hut and finish at Merrijig.
Come prepared to drive steep high country tracks.

Arriving on the Friday in preparation for 4WDing along the beach, including Sand Dune driving at the Buggy Club on the 2 days of the Trip (Saturday & Sunday).
Saturday night we plan to go out for dinner to the local Chinese Restaurant or the Pub
Sunday night, a simple BBQ dinner and catchup around the campfire at the caravan park.
Monday is a free day to explore around the beautiful sights of Robe.

Learn about our Native Orchids and view many of the 400 species of native plants found in this area.

Border Track SA / VIc
(Extended Weekend Trip)

We will travel north through Victorian and South Australian National and Conservation parks over 4 days.
People will have the option to travel up on the Thursday to stay at Goroke Caravan Park.
We will start our trip at Goroke Caravan Park at 9am to travel to Francis to the start of the border Track on the Friday.
From there we will head north through the Wyperfield NP, Ngarkat CP, Murray-Sunset NP and arrive at McCabes Corner on the Sunday spending the night along the Murray river.
Heading home on the Monday.

Sunday will be a mystery tour of local 4wd tracks.

Glowing Otways

Join us for a drive into the Otways. Meet at Bunnings Waurn Ponds.
We'll drive some tracks in the Otways and arrive at our destination in the late afternoon and go for a short walk to the glowworm area.
At dusk we should see wallabies, sugar gliders and maybe a tawny frogmouth. After dinner, we'll walk back to the bridge to view the glowworms.
Expect to be back in Geelong around 9.30pm. Dress warmly for wet weather. .

Glowing Otways Recce

Recce for the Glowing Otways Trip later in the month.
Drive the planned tracks to ensure roads and facilities are open and that the Glow Worms are glowing.
Dress warmly for wet, cold weather, we'll be taking a few short walks.
Expect to be back in Geelong around 9.30pm.
Applicants waitlisted on the Aug 31 trip will have first option to apply.

Gunbarrel Highway

A true outback adventure across some of the most remote country in Australia. Includes visits to the MacDonnell Ranges, Kings Canyon and Uluru before commencing the outback journey to Wiluna in W.A.
Whilst this is not a technically difficult trip from a 4WD driving perspective, participants will be challenged at times due to varying track conditions and the remoteness of the country (with no internet)!
Vehicles & trailers must be in excellent condition and able to handle rough track sections. It is essential that vehicles including trailers are properly prepared and serviced. Vehicles must be raised due to the track conditions and heavier loads. Trailers must be genuine, robust off-road makes if taken.

Starting in Licola, this trip will tackle Mt Skene from the lesser used southern side of the mountain avoiding the crowds on the opposite side.
Come prepare to camp the night above the snow line as our final campsite will depend on snow conditions.

Safari 4x4 is hosting a day event for TLCCV Members at their HQ in Croydon South offering an in depth product presentation focusing on the Armax range for Toyota Land Cruisers including a factory tour.
Following the tour a sausage sizzle lunch with non-alcoholic drinks will be offered.
In the afternoon members will be able to experience a test drive of their very own Armax equipped 200 Series and 70 Series Land Cruisers.

Base camping a few days at Alpana Stn and doing some of their tracks, checking out Blinman Mine and Nuccaleena Mine.
Driving out to Beltana Historical township, Sliding Rock Mine, Warraweena Conservation Park and exploring some of their tracks.
Head up to Arkaroola via a back road, camping and exploring Yudnamutana for two nights before heading into Arkaroola and exploring everything it has to offer.

Our Trip will start at Nowa Nowa after taking in some scenic areas around Nowa Nowa we will head towards Buchan and down Jacksons crossing, after crossing the snowy we will continue on camping beside the snowy river.
Day 2 will see us heading along the Deddick trail and down the famous stair case camping again by the river .
Day 3 will see us follow the Deddick Trail, Bowens trail & ending up at Waratah flats camping ground
Day 4 after breaking camp we head towards Orbost were our journey ends.

We will be hitting the 4WD tracks as well, taking in the great climb up to Mt Stirling
after visiting Howqua Gap Hut. Heidi will be heading off on her MTB to explore
the amazing MTB trails around Mt Buller.
On Sunday, we will 4WD to Lake William Hovell & return via Pineapple Flat.

Tingaringy Trailer Trip

After leaving Orbost on Friday morning, we will head thru the Errinundra Plateau
with our trailers in tow, and base camp on the Deddick River.
On Saturday, we will 4WD up to Mt Tingaringy, right on the VIC/NSW border.
We will loop back down the Laurie Tk, crossing the Tingaringy Creek before returning to camp.
On Sunday, after reconnecting our trailers, we head down to McKillops Bridge,
crossing the mighty Snowy River as well as visiting the Little river Gorge before heading home.

Explore the Mt Selwyn area on the way to Mt Murray.
If the weather permits we will camp near the top of Mt Murray on the Saturday night.
On Sunday we will check out the magical views from Blue Rag, then head down the steep decent to camp on the Dargo River at the old Mayford townsite.
Monday will see us return to the Great Alpine way at Mt St Bernard where the trip will conclude.

On Sunday, we exit out via Frys hut and Sheepyard Flat, finishing in Mansfield.
