Jericho Working Bee

Working Bee cleaning up the Historical sites in and around Jericho cemetery and township and along the Walhalla/Woods Point road.

Sunday will be a mystery tour of local 4wd tracks

Licola to Mt Buller
(Weeknd Trip)

Trip - Difficult

From Licola we will head up the Macalister River Valley and then up into the High Country via Butcher Country Track.

The King Billy track will complete the day before camping at Lovicks Hut.

On Sunday we will head for Mt Buller via Bluff Hut, Pikes Flat and Mount Stirling.

Trip - Difficult

Arrive at our Base Camp location on Friday afternoon, on the outskirts of the beautiful township of Yackandanda.

Saturday we will have a long day exploring the Buffalo Range and the Buckland Valley before returning back to basecamp for a home cooked meal, cost approx $40 per head TBC.

Sunday will be an easier day exploring local surrounds TBA.

Anglesea Heath - Native Orchids & Wildflowers

Drive the tracks around Anglesea Heath, part of the Great Otway National Park, stopping to view Native Orchids and Wildflowers.

Dress for changeable weather and wear clean walking shoes - members shoes will be brushed and disinfected at our meeting point- equipment provided.

Dogs not allowed, we will be in a National Park.

This activity is to help a woman who is recently widowed and has a.property that needs a lot of maintenance.

Particularly a roof leak and a few saplings around the house which need to be removed which fill her gutters with leaves and causing the roof to leak.

She has animals, dogs, horses, etc that need assistance with clipping matted hair that need attention. She is in desperate need for help as she can't manage on her own at the moment.

TLCCV visit to the Nissan Club Property
(Weekend Trip)

Meeting at Nar Nar Goon on Friday night, we will meet with reps from the Nissan Club to form a convoy to Wandarah.

Enjoy a weekend of Nissan hospitality and drive various track in the area. Leave for home Sunday at your leisure.

Must be self sufficient for the weekend for food and drinks and happy hour.

Note: No access for caravans but tents and campervans are OK.

Neerim Ramble

Our trip will start at Neerim South where we will explore some of the more interesting tracks in & around Neerim State Forest crossing over the Latrobe river with lunch on the tracks.

Sunday will see us travel more tracks in the area before heading to Noojee for lunch at the Toolshed Bar before heading for home.

Be prepaid for some interesting climbs & the odd mud hole to play in.

Wonnangatta Adventures  

(Labour Day Weekend Trip)

Starting at Sheep Yard Flat we will visit Bluff and Lovicks Hut before heading to Howitt Plan then down the Zeka Spur Track into Wonnangatta.

Next through the valley and out of Wonnangatta via Hernes Spur.

After coming down Eaglevale track we will climb up Billy Goat Bluff Track before visiting the Pinnacles.

We will then exit the mountains south via the Marathon Road before finishing in Briagolong.

Come prepared to drive very steep high county tracks

Camp Host @ Dandos in the Otways
(Labour Day Weekend Activity

Come down and join us for the long weekend in March. Bring your tent, swag, van, trailer, hammock! and enjoy a weekend away that is not focused on driving, in fact just for a change enjoy camping in the one spot with fellow club members.

Dandos offers:
- Camp fires
- Picnic tables
- Drop Toilets (BYO Paper)
- Running creek at the back of the campground to cool off in
- Fellowship with other club members
- Early happy hours!

As well as our camp host activities we will be doing a camp oven cooking session on Saturday so get your old cast iron cookware and ingrediants to whip up a gourmet delight. Greg will be running a kids damper session and promises not to burn it!

El Dorado & the Woolshed Valley - Recce

Come explore and take an adventurous journey through this small old gold mining town of EL Dorado.

Some fabulous tracks in this area for us to explore and plenty of history to see.

Base Camp will be nestled along the banks of Reedys’ Creek under the stars for the weekend. See if you can find some gemstones and crystals along the banks of the river.

Mirimbah Magic - 4WD, MTB & OziExplorer - all in one!
(Weekend Trip)

Trip - Easy (Medium in places) - great trip for new members

Come & enjoy a weekend with some great 4WDing & some MTBing for those fit members. We will be base camping at Mirimbah (at the base of Mt Buller).

Some of you may wish to sit around the campfire on Sat morning & listen to Laurie talk about the famous mapping software "OziExplorer".

We will be hitting the 4WD tracks as well, taking in the great climb up to Mt Stirling after visiting Howqua Gap Hut plus some others.

Heidi will also be heading off on her MTB to explore the amazing MTB trails around Mt Buller. On Sunday we will 4WD to Lake William Hovell & return via Pineapple Flat.

Bird Watching Tour of the Werribee Wetlands

Werribee Wetlands is the number one birding site in Australia (rivalling Kakadu) and February is the busiest month for migratory birds. A great day for anyone interested in birds and bird photography.

Guided by club members John Barkla, (President of Birdlife Australia) and Suelin Haynes (Environmental Officer WTP).
