Community response

Giving back is an important part of the TLCCV community. Our members regularly volunteer their time to support bushfire recovery, environmental care and local communities, working together to make a positive impact both on and off the tracks.

Bushfire relief

TLCCV members have a proud history of supporting communities impacted by bushfires. Our volunteers assist with cutting and collecting firewood for winter, repairing fences, clearing fallen trees and dead wood, and water carting where needed. We have supported recovery efforts across multiple regions including the Terang fires, Bunyip State Forest fire and most recently the Longwood fire, helping communities rebuild and recover during challenging times.

Narbeview Wombat Shelter

Our members also support the Narbeview Wombat Shelter through hands-on volunteer work. This includes repairing and cleaning enclosures, general property maintenance and assisting with arborist work to ensure a safe and functional environment for the animals in care. It’s a meaningful way for members to contribute to wildlife protection and rehabilitation.

Clean up days

Clean up days see members working together to restore and maintain natural spaces. Activities include removing rubbish and dumped vehicles, repairing and cleaning fireplaces, installing new steel BBQs, and tidying up campgrounds and key sites of interest. Locations have included Lerderderg State Park, Wombat State Forest, Gherang Gherang Bushland Reserve and the Jericho Cemetery in the Jordan Valley near Walhalla.

Track clearing days

TLCCV members regularly support state services by assisting with the clearing and reopening of tracks across Victoria. These efforts help restore access to popular four-wheel driving areas while ensuring tracks are safe and environmentally responsible for all users.
