No, we accept all types of vehicles as long as they have the required features to complete the Driver Training course the club offers know as DA (Driver Awareness)

Mandatory vehicle equipment 
  • First aid kit, e.g. St John’s, Red Cross remote area
  • Fire extinguisher – Dry powder ABE (red with white band), 1.5Kg with hose, securely mounted & easily accessible by the driver
  • 80 channel UHF radio & antenna – mounted & wired directly to the battery (not via ignition)
  • Rated recovery points front & rear attached with high tensile bolts (rear tow hitch with pin accepted)
  • 8000kg snatch strap or kinetic recovery rope
  • 2 x bow/soft shackles depending on your vehicles recovery points – Min WLL 3.25 tonne
  • Suitable vehicle jack (not Hi-Lift) & jack base plate (250mm x 250mm – 19mm plywood or 6mm aluminium or commercially available)
  • Long handled “post hole” shovel
  • Radiator blind, water bra or poly tarp 2m x 1m plus means of attaching to the vehicle
  • WD40 or similar
  • Tyre pressure gauge

Note: Vehicles that do not meet the above requirements or are not roadworthy will not be permitted to participate in the Driver Awareness course or Club trips.

Yes, When you sign up, you will only be able to enter your own details. Once your application has been approved and your membership fees paid, you will be issued with a membership number.

You will then be able to add your spouse/de facto or same sex partner and your children up to age 18 to the membership.

Children aged 18 & under 25 who are at home with you and studying full time can also be included in your family membership. Children under the age of 25 who are family members will be required to take out their own separate membership if they wish to undertake the Driver Training program.

Renewing family membership fee in 2nd & subsequent years is currently $174 pa (includes FWDV annual fee)

The Yarck Emu Walk is a relaxed bush track designed for members and families to enjoy a gentle walk through native vegetation. This walk offers a chance to observe local flora and fauna while taking in the peaceful surrounds of the property. Suitable for most fitness levels, the Emu Walk is a great way to unwind between activities or introduce younger family members to the environment we are proud to care for.
