Wombat Sate Forest - exploring
(Weekend Trip)

Sat 20 - Sun 21 Nov, 2021

Trip cancelled due to adverse weather conditions

Trip - Easy to Medium

We will visit a local market and focus on the history of the area. It will involve some 4WD. There is a wide range of sites we could visit. There are old water channels that lead to mine remains. There is an option for rough walk to visit the Tunnel from Amblers Lane. Depending on road conditions, weather and people's interest, we will vary the sites visited.

Sunday will explore the more difficult and iconic tracks. The aim will be to drive Amblers Lane, Trout Tk, Diggers Tk avoiding the enormous bog hole, down XL Tk, Ratcliffe Tk, Nuggets Tk, Holts Rd.

There are tracks that are not on the maps and the ones that are there vary in condition from month to month. A flexible approach to the route will be taken.

Madigan Line Sand & Dust Tour 2022
(Extended Trip)

Tue 22 - Sun 27 March, 2022

Travel up to Oodnadatta at your own Leisure, there is much to see and do on the track and should be explored if you have never traversed it before.

Our trip departs Oodnadatta at 9 Am Sharp, I suggest every one arrives the day prior and attends to Fuel / Food requirements as required. We head North up to Mt Dare where we neck the Fuel tanks again for our journey across the Desert. From Mt Dare we head to Old Andado Station on the very Edge of the Simpson Desert.

From here it’s extremely isolated travelling as we venture across the desert following Cecil Madigan’s Camp sites. You will see Molly Clark's homestead, visit the Twins and experience the desert and its majestic scenery. The sun sets and rises are magnificent, I have permission to use the tracks on Adria Downs Station on this trip so from the Hay River Track we’ll see camp 17 onwards.

Click on the Trip Leader picture for more important details.

Rig Road Simpson Desert
(Extended Trip)

Tue 29 March - Sat 2 Apr, 2022

Travel up to Birdsville at your own Leisure, there is much to see along the way to add to your Desert Holiday Adventure.

There is free camping available on the Common or stay at the Caravan Park. You may wish to have a play on Big Red, see the sunset etc.

Departing from Birdsville Bakery @ 9 am sharp. We head west out over Big Red and Head along the QAA line to Poeppels Corner Post. From the post we turn South down the K1 Line before Turning West again on the Rig Road. We will see the Southern side of the park that is different to the popular French Line, it’s also a little less travelled and remote.

The rig road was originally clay topped so that the Oil Search Trucks could traverse the area but much of this has now deteriorated away. You will see the Lone Gum, Desert Sunsets and Rises, Swim in the warm Dalhousie Springs Water and experience the stunning night time skies.

From Dalhousie we head to Oodnadatta where this trip officially concludes. Travel down the Oodnadatta track at your own leisure, there is lots to see and explore.

If you are interested in competing in this mini challenge as one of the TLCCV vehicles, then register your interest.
So what is "Mini CruiserKhana"?

Mini CruiserKhana is a one day event, where we test out our new rules.
You will have great fun participating in 5 - 6 CruiserKhana events over the day

There are no Entry Fees

Volunteers also needed!

We are also looking for a few members to assist on the day.

You will be working with the CruiserKhana committee as they trial the changes to the events.

Canning Stock Route - Expressions of Interest
(Extended Trip)

May - June 2022 (14 days)

"Go Slow is the Go" its my favorite saying! If you dont like corrugations then forget this trip as they are relentless.  It's rough but spectacular country. Patience is required as we may only be travelling at 20 to 40k's per hour, day after day after day.  If your a driver that wants to travel at speed over the corrugations then this may not be the trip for you either!

Spend 14 days (it may be a little longer!) meandering up the track, we will stop at each and every well and perhaps some pools along the way. Its a glorious part of Australia to visit.

We will spend a day or two at Durba Springs to explore and relax out of the vehicles.

The trip will start in Kalgoorlie and conclude in Halls Creek. In-between its 2000 k's of desert to be experienced and enjoyed.

If we haven't put you off by now, then add your name to the wait list.

TLCC National Gathering - WA 2022

Expressions of interest

Fri 14 - Tue 18 October, 2022

Following the success of the Gathering in South Australia in 2019, and the interest in the Toyota 70th Birthday Muster in Broken Hill last year, we are offering pre-registration for the TLCC Gathering, to be held in the Margaret River area, in Western Australia .

This registration is not binding, but will assist TLCCWA with their forward planning.

Once you are registered with the TLCCV, we will keep you up to date with the progress of the Gathering, and any side trips that may be proposed.

We are hoping that our Club will be running extended trips to W.A. to coincide with the Gathering - maybe the Kimberley and West Coast and home across the Nullarbor.
